Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and oversee food production for catering events and daily operations.

  • Ensure all food is prepared according to quality, presentation, and portion standards.

  • Coordinate kitchen activities to meet event schedules and delivery timelines.

  • Monitor food costs and minimize food wastage.

  • Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards in accordance with company policies.

  • Supervise, train, and guide kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.

  • Manage inventory, stock control, and ingredient ordering.

  • Assist in menu planning, recipe standardization, and food costing.

  • Ensure proper storage, handling, packing, and transportation of food products.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by Management.

Requirements

  • Minimum Certificate/Diploma in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a related field.

  • At least 2–5 years of experience in catering, central kitchen, or commercial kitchen operations.

  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, food safety, and hygiene standards.

  • Ability to manage kitchen operations and lead a team effectively.

  • Good organizational and time management skills.

  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Willing to work weekends, public holidays, and flexible hours when required.
