About the role

Landex Concepts Sdn Bhd is seeking an Accounts Executive to join our Finance team in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting career within a dynamic and growing organisation. The Accounts Executive will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting our bookkeeping operations, and ensuring the smooth running of our accounting functions. This position is essential to our small practice accounting operations and provides the foundation for sound financial management across the company.

Key responsibilities

1. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards

2. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice verification, payment processing and collection follow-ups

3. Record financial transactions in the AutoCount app accounting system with attention to detail and adherence to company policies

4. Prepare bank reconciliation statements and investigate discrepancies promptly

5. Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports

6. Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals, prepayments and adjusting entries

7. Maintain accurate and organised financial documentation and ensure proper filing systems

8. Liaise with internal departments and external parties regarding account enquiries and financial matters

9. Assist with audit preparations and respond to auditor requests for documentation

10. Support the implementation of new accounting policies and procedures as required

What we're looking for

1. Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, or equivalent professional qualification

2. At least 2-3 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounts role within a small to medium-sized practice or organisation

3. Experience in AutoCount accounting software packages and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger management and financial reporting standards

5. Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail in all financial work

6. Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliation processes

7. Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines

8. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues

9. Professional approach and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information

10. Desirable: experience with payroll processing or tax compliance matters

11. Desirable: familiarity with Malaysian accounting practices and tax regulations
