About the role

We are seeking an experienced On-site Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team at BRIGHTRAY ASSET MANAGEMENT SDN. BHD.' in Kulai Johor. As an On-site Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our state-of-the-art data centre. This is a full-time position, offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

What you'll be doing

1. Performing proactive and reactive maintenance on various data centre equipment, including servers, storage systems, networking devices, and environmental control systems

2. Conducting regular inspections and monitoring the performance of critical infrastructure to identify and address potential issues

3. Troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software-related problems in a timely manner

4. Liaising with vendors and service providers to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure the delivery of high-quality support

5. Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities, incidents, and repair work

6. Collaborating with the broader IT team to implement and adhere to best practices and standard operating procedures

7. Providing on-call support and participating in the 24/7 emergency response team as needed

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3 years of experience as an On-site Maintenance Technician or in a similar role within a data centre or IT infrastructure environment

2. Strong technical skills and hands-on experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and power/cooling infrastructure

3. Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and monitoring software to identify and resolve issues

4. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

5. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and best practices in data centre operations and maintenance

6. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders

7. A valid driver's licence and willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call duties as needed
