Job Description

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead and manage base maintenance support areas, which include tools, equipment, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and calibration requirements to deliver efficient and reliable services in support of MRO operations.
  2. Lead and oversee the Customer Success team in executing customer support activities, ensuring customer expectations are managed and aligned with contractual requirements.
  3. Review and develop additional products/services to be offered or bundled to existing customers, to improve customer satisfaction, retention, productivity, and revenue.
  4. Build and enhance effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and key decision-makers.
  5. Drive productivity and process improvement initiatives across business units, including digitalisation and technology/AI adoption where applicable.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President, Base Maintenance (Planning).


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in aircraft maintenance/MRO operations; preferably at least 2 years in a managerial/supervisory role leading production teams.
  • Proven people leadership capability, including performance management, staff discipline, coaching and development across multi-level teams (e.g., managers/foremen/engineers/technicians/trainees).
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and internal governance requirements.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, manpower planning, and asset/equipment planning and acquisition.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean/continuous improvement) and ability to drive standardisation and compliance to procedures.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills; able to work cross-functionally with planning, quality, safety, engineering and commercial stakeholders.
