We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Supply Chain Manager to oversee end-to-end procurement, international logistics, and cross-border trade operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing overseas supplier contracts, purchase order tracking, shipment monitoring, customs clearance, and compliance with Singapore, Malaysia & USA trade regulations. This role requires strong knowledge of regional import/export procedures, taxation, and logistics coordination to ensure seamless supply chain execution.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Contract Management
- Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts with international suppliers.
- Handle end-to-end purchase order processing, from placement to delivery.
- Negotiate terms with overseas vendors to ensure cost efficiency and compliance.
International Logistics & Shipment Tracking
- Coordinate and monitor sea/air freight shipments from origin to destination.
- Work closely with freight forwarders, carriers, and warehouses for timely deliveries.
- Proactively address delays or disruptions in the supply chain.
Customs & Trade Compliance
- Manage Singapore and Malaysia customs clearance processes (IMPORT/EXPORT).
- Ensure adherence to ASEAN trade agreements, HS codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and submit accurate trade documents (e.g., Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Certificate of Origin).
Tax & Duty Optimization
- Apply knowledge of GST/VAT and duty structures in Singapore and Malaysia.
- Leverage free trade agreements (FTAs) to minimize tax liabilities.
Supplier & Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the main point of contact for overseas suppliers and logistics partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams (finance, warehouse, operations) to align on inventory and delivery schedules.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline procurement and logistics workflows.
- Maintain updated records of contracts, shipments, and compliance documents.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in international procurement, logistics, or supply chain management, with focus on Singapore, Malaysia and ASEAN operations.
- In-depth knowledge of INCOTERMS, customs procedures, and trade regulations in Singapore and Malaysia.
- Familiarity with ASEAN trade policies, GST/VAT, and duty calculation.
- Proven experience in managing overseas suppliers and international shipment tracking.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS, CSCP) are a plus.
