Responsibilities
Accounts Assistant
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in processing supplier invoices, payment vouchers, and other accounts payable documentation.
- Assist in preparing payment schedules and supporting documents for payment processing.
- Perform data entry of accounting transactions into the accounting system accurately and timely.
- Assist in maintaining proper accounting records, filing systems, and document archiving (physical and electronic).
- Assist in petty cash administration, including preparation of reimbursement claims and supporting documentation.
- Assist in bank-related administrative matters, including preparation of forms, documentation, and correspondence as required.
- Assist in preparing schedules and supporting documents for monthly closing, audits, tax submissions, and other reporting requirements.
- Assist in maintaining the Fixed Asset Register, including asset tagging, record updates, and documentation.
- Follow up on outstanding documents, invoices, statements, and confirmations from vendors, customers, banks, and internal departments.
- Assist in document quality control to ensure accounting records and supporting documents are complete, accurate, and properly filed.
- Perform basic reconciliations and administrative checks as assigned by the Finance Executive or Senior Finance Executive.
- Support finance and administrative operations to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the department.
- Undertake ad-hoc assignments, special projects, and other duties as assigned by the superior from time to time.
Requirements:
* Minimum Diploma in Accounting, Finance, LCCI, AAT, or any related field. Candidates with SPM and relevant working experience may also be considered.
* Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with 1–2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance will have an added advantage.
* Basic knowledge of accounting principles, accounts payable processes, and bookkeeping practices.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems will be an added advantage.
* Good numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Possess good organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
* Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information professionally.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal departments, vendors, and external parties.
* Able to work independently with minimum supervision as well as in a team environment.
* Positive attitude, willing to learn, and able to adapt to changing work requirements.
* Possess a high level of integrity, responsibility, and commitment towards work.
* Mandarin speaking will be an added advantage
