Job Description

The Marine Biology and Ecology Laboratory (MBEL) at the NUS Tropical Marine Science Institute seeks one highly motivated candidate for the position of Research Assistant in support of a research project entitled ‘Post-oil spill ecological impact monitoring of macrobenthic infaunal communities in the Southern Islands, Singapore’.

Key Responsibilities

(a) Sort macrofaunal specimens into morphospecies or species;

(b) Identify specimens to species for selected taxa.;

(c) Assist in compiling reports;

(d) Publish results in peer-reviewed journals.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess a BSc in life sciences or equivalent with experience in invertebrate taxonomy.

Writing skills are highly desirable.
