Job Description

• Operate, monitor and maintain waste treatment plants, wastewater treatment systems, water treatment facilities and exhaust systems to ensure efficient and safe operations.
• Prepare and handle chemicals required for production processes in accordance with established procedures.
• Coordinate with suppliers for the timely delivery of chemicals and collection of waste materials.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of plant equipment in accordance with scheduled maintenance plans.
• Liaise with external vendors and contractors for planned servicing, equipment maintenance and ad-hoc repair works.
• Participate actively in Emergency Response Team (ERT) exercises and Lean Improvement Suggestion Scheme (LISS) initiatives to support continuous improvement.
• Strictly adhere to all safety, environmental, legal and ISO requirements, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate operational records and ensure all documentation is updated and properly filed i
• Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance plant reliability, efficiency and operational performance.

Job Requirements

• NITEC, Higher NITEC or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related disciplines.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, heating and electrical systems.
• Able to work in a chemical handling and manufacturing environment.
• Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willing to perform 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Possess good problem-solving skills and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Prior experience in wastewater treatment, utilities operations or chemical plant environments will be an added advantage.
