Job Summary

Manage full-set accounting functions for the company, ensuring compliance with Singapore accounting standards and laws, timely financial processing, and accurate reporting to support business operations in the construction sector.

Responsibilities

  • Consolidate accounts and ensure compliance with accounting standards and Singapore law by coordinating financial matters with the Company Auditor and Corporate Secretary
  • Process and organize invoices to ensure timely payment and receipt of bills
  • Execute accounts payable and receivable payments weekly to maintain accurate cash flow
  • Input credit and debit transactions into the accounting system to support payables processing
  • Review, reconcile, and compile accounts and costing reports to maintain accurate financial records
  • Ensure timely submission of GST filings in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manage accounts receivable by issuing invoices, credit and debit notes, updating the sales ledger, controlling credit, and collecting outstanding debts
  • Manage accounts payable by processing vendor payments, issuing cheques, and preparing payment vouchers promptly
  • Undertake ad-hoc accounting assignments as required to support business needs

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience handling full-set accounts
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in a construction company
  • Technical knowledge of accounting regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and local language to effectively liaise with stakeholders
  • Demonstrated proactive and mature working attitude
