Job Description
Responsibilities
- Liaise with customers, consultants, engineers, inspection bodies and suppliers on matters relating to quality assurance and technical matters.
- Conduct regular audit on mix designs at batching plant. Assist Plant Managers in conducting trial mixes.
- Assigning mixes (products) that meet customer’s performance requirements and monitor the test results.
- Coordinating with Plant Managers to conduct investigations on quality deficiencies.
- Conduct site visits to ensure that quality of concrete supplied is within design parameters.
- Possess good knowledge in raw material performance and ensuring tests on quality of all raw materials used in the manufacture of concrete are conducted and analysed to minimize failures.
- Assist in coordinating all QA/QC operations in conjunction with QC staff to ensure that customers are satisfied with the level of service provided.
- Coordinate with the Sales and Production Departments to ensure that customer complaints are professionally and efficiently resolved.
- Control costs within the budget.
- Monitor cube strength results (internal QC and external site results) and prepare statistical analysis reports.
- Assist Plant Management to comply with all SOPs, relevant statutory and company requirements in relation to management of raw materials, environment (waste disposal, dust and noise) within the permissible level.
- Promote an environment that creates ownership of health, safety and environment by employees and develop a safe working environment for staff.
- Work with Superior(s) to assess and develop plant employees, monitor staff’s discipline, develop motivation by setting achievable targets, providing feedback, coaching and counselling on performance.
- Conduct ISO audits for Production and QC Departments to ensure compliance with the quality management system requirements.
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
