Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of Housekeepers in ensuring that the rooms, front and back of the house are cleaned and maintained in accordance to the prescribed standards and that all defects are reported and rectified.

Requirements

  • Supervise housekeeping staff to ensure compliance with company policies and operational standards.
  • Ensure all rooms, corridors, and service areas are properly maintained in accordance with cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Inspect ready rooms to ensure they are clean, prepared, and ready for guest check-in.
  • Conduct regular rounds to identify maintenance issues, cleanliness concerns, or urgent defects (e.g. lighting or equipment issues).
  • Maintain and track records of deep-cleaned rooms to ensure proper rotation and scheduling of cleaning cycles.
  • Report room defects, damage, or maintenance issues to relevant departments, including Engineering where required.
  • Ensure proper upkeep, storage, and efficient usage of housekeeping equipment and supplies.
  • Inspect linen rooms and storerooms to ensure cleanliness and adequate stock levels are maintained.
  • Communicate room status updates (ready rooms, check-outs, and other updates) in a timely manner.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to the Operations Manager on service quality and compliance.
  • Ensure coordination between housekeeping operations and engineering for unresolved defects or maintenance issues.
  • Ensure maximum operational efficiency across assigned areas while maintaining service standards.
  • Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Hospitality preferred or minimum GCE ‘A’ Level with 2–3 years of relevant supervisory experience in housekeeping or hotel operations.
  • Functional knowledge of room cleaning and housekeeping operations.
  • Knowledge of customer service standards and guest satisfaction principles.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory control and stock management.
  • Computer literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Familiarity with hotel systems (e.g. HIS, PABX, task management systems) preferred.
  • Strong leadership, supervision, and coaching abilities.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.

Working location will be at Stamford Place - 61 Stamford Road
