Responsibilities

Position : Software Specialist Team Lead

Salary : RM 3,500 - RM 6,000

Location : Desa Aman Puri, Kepong

Working Days : 8.30am – 5.30pm / Mon – Fri

Job Summary

The Software Specialist Team Lead oversees a team of software specialists, ensuring high-quality technical support, solution implementation, and system maintenance. This role combines leadership with technical expertise to meet business objectives, SLAs, and customer satisfaction targets.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of software specialists to achieve performance goals.
  • Provide advanced technical guidance and act as an escalation point for complex issues.
  • Ensure timely resolution of technical requests and incidents in line with SLAs.
  • Review and approve technical documentation, procedures, and configurations.
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage team workload to meet deadlines and service commitments.
  • Conduct team meetings, performance reviews, and skills assessments.
  • Collaborate with Sales, IT Support, and Development teams to enhance solutions and customer experience.
  • Maintain support documentation, knowledge bases, user guides, and FAQs.
  • Monitor application performance, analyze trends, and prepare reports for management.
  • Manage schedules and on-call rosters to ensure consistent support coverage.
  • Assist in resolving technical issues to ensure operational continuity.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in application support or IT operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of ITSM practices (incident, problem, and change management).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical expertise in relevant software domains (POS, WMS, integrations, databases).
  • Experience with customer-facing systems, ticketing tools, and performance monitoring.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate across teams, and maintain a customer-focused approach.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month

Education:

  • Diploma/Advanced Diploma (Preferred)

Experience:

  • IT Operation: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Software Domain: 2 years (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
