Job Description

Responsibilities

Overview of the Position:

This role is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud services, endpoint devices, backup systems, cybersecurity platforms, and telephony systems. The role focuses on ensuring the availability, reliability, performance, and security of IT systems while providing technical support and driving continuous improvements to the IT environment.

The role required to execute the below tasks and initiative:

Infrastructure Management & Support

  • Manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, network devices, wireless networks, firewalls, VPNs, backup systems, cloud platforms, and telephony systems.
  • Provide Level 1 technical support for hardware and software issues involving laptops, desktops, printers, servers, network infrastructure, operating systems, and productivity tools.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, availability, and reliability, ensuring optimal system operations.
  • Perform routine system maintenance, patch management, firmware upgrades, and operating system updates across infrastructure environments.
  • Support and administer Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, file services, virtualization platforms, and cloud-based services.
  • Manage email systems, user accounts, access rights, and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace.

Service Management & Vendor Coordination

  • Manage incoming IT support tickets and ensure incidents and service requests are prioritized, assigned, tracked, and resolved within established SLA and KPI targets.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, service providers, and technology partners to ensure timely resolution of issues and successful delivery of IT services.
  • Escalate critical infrastructure incidents and coordinate resolution efforts to minimize business disruption.
  • Maintain and administer the IT ticketing system and knowledge management repository.

Asset & Documentation Management

  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, software licenses, warranties, and infrastructure inventory throughout their lifecycle.
  • Coordinate procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of IT equipment according to company policies.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), system configurations, network diagrams, and troubleshooting guides.

Project Implementation

  • Participate in and lead infrastructure-related projects, including system upgrades, cloud migration initiatives, network enhancements, cybersecurity implementations, and business continuity improvements.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines, scope, and quality standards.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls, including endpoint protection, firewall policies, email security, vulnerability management, and access control mechanisms.
  • Monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, perform initial response activities, and coordinate remediation efforts with relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular reviews of security configurations, user access permissions, and infrastructure compliance with company policies and security standards.
  • Promote cybersecurity awareness and best practices among employees.

Other Duties

  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the immediate superior and management from time to time.

To be successful in this role, we are expecting the below:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant working experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or network administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Hands-on experience with network infrastructure including switches, routers, wireless controllers, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is advantageous.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles, endpoint protection, email security, and security incident response.
  • Experience with JIRA ticketing systems and asset management tools.
  • Work location: Bukit Jalil (Near to Pavilion Bukit Jalil)
  • Working days and hours: Monday to Friday ( 9am - 6pm)
