Position : Senior DevOps Engineer

Salary : RM 4,000 – RM 6,500

Location : Uptown Damansara, PJ

Working Days : 8.30am – 5.30pm / Mon – Fri

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to maintain and optimize servers, databases, and deployment pipelines. The role ensures system reliability, scalability, and uptime through automation, monitoring, and best practices while supporting development teams and sharing knowledge.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and maintain Linux servers, ensuring stability and security.
• Manage web servers (Apache, Nginx) and databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) for optimal performance.
• Design and implement automation scripts, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.
• Monitor system health, application performance, and resources, taking proactive action to prevent downtime.
• Perform backups, updates, and maintenance while minimizing business disruption.
• Optimize server and database performance to support scalability and growing workloads.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices into software delivery.
• Document processes, configurations, and procedures to maintain a knowledge base.
• Stay current with DevOps technologies, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
• Share knowledge and mentor team members on DevOps tools and practices.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience with Linux servers, web servers (Apache/Nginx), and production databases.
• Proficient in CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef).
• Solid understanding of system optimization, scalability, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Terraform is an advantage.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Up to RM6,500.00 per month
