Content Creator (Full-Time / Internship)About the Role

We are looking for creative, proactive and passionate individuals to join our content team. This role involves creating engaging digital content across various social media platforms, with a focus on Malaysian politics, public policy, current affairs and community issues.

Successful candidates will work closely with political leaders and communication teams to produce content that informs, educates and engages the public. We are looking for individuals who understand social media trends, digital culture and the issues that matter to Malaysians today.

The role requires someone who is curious about current affairs, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced political environment.

The role and employment arrangement may vary depending on the candidate's experience, skill set and availability. We welcome applications from full-time candidates, fresh graduates, final-year students and individuals seeking internship or full-time opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create engaging content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Threads and YouTube
  • Assist in planning, shooting and editing short-form videos
  • Cover events, press conferences, community programmes, campaigns and political activities
  • Develop content ideas that resonate with diverse audiences and social media users
  • Write captions, scripts and social media copy
  • Monitor social media trends, current affairs and emerging issues to identify content opportunities
  • Work closely with the team to execute content strategies and campaigns

Requirements

  • Proficiency in English and/or Bahasa Malaysia
  • Familiarity with social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube
  • Basic video shooting and editing skills using tools such as CapCut, Canva, Premiere Pro or similar software
  • Creative, proactive and willing to learn
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of, or a strong interest in, Malaysian politics, current affairs and public policy
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and covering political events, campaigns and community programmes
  • Willing to work on weekends and travel when required
