Position Overview
Project Execution: Overseeing the day-to-day coordination of site activities, sub-contractors, and resources.
Information Management: Managing technical documentation, RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and project schedules.
· We are seeking a highly motivated Product Engineer with strong capabilities in managing the full product development lifecycle, particularly in telematics projects.
· The role involves bridging customer requirements, hardware and software development, testing, and technical support to ensure successful product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage and support the full product development lifecycle from concept to deployment.
· Work on telematics-related products including hardware and platform integration.
· Conduct hardware testing, validation, and evaluation.
· Perform platform/system testing and ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.
· Gather customer requirements and translate them into technical specifications and product concepts.
· Collaborate with developers to convert ideas into functional designs and implementations.
· Prepare clear and comprehensive user manuals, installation guides, and technical documentation.
· Conduct product training sessions for internal teams and customers.
· Provide high-level technical support and troubleshooting.
· Assist in continuous product improvement based on feedback and performance data.
· Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and support.
Project Management & Planning
· Plan, manage, and track product development timelines and deliverables.
· Create and maintain project schedules, including Gantt charts and milestone tracking.
· Ensure timely execution of tasks across hardware, software, and testing teams.
· Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
· Monitor progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
· Coordinate cross-functional resources to ensure alignment with project goals.
· Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or similar) is an advantage.
Requirements
· Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering) or related field.
· 2 to 4 years experience or exposure to telematics systems, IoT, or embedded systems is preferred.
· Strong understanding of hardware testing and validation processes.
· Familiarity with software/platform testing and system integration.
· Ability to translate customer needs into technical requirements and product concepts.
· Good documentation skills (user manuals, guides, SOPs).
· Strong communication and presentation skills.
· Ability to conduct training and provide technical support.
· Basic project management and timeline planning skills (Gantt chart experience preferred).
· Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Skills
· Knowledge of GPS tracking systems, CAN bus, sensors, and telematics platforms.
· Basic understanding of APIs, cloud platforms, or IoT ecosystems.
· Experience with testing tools and debugging hardware/software issues.
· Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
