Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Field Service Engineer role based in Selangor, Malaysia. The Field Service Engineer will install, configure, and commission medical diagnostic equipment at customer sites, ensuring proper functionality and safety. Responsibilities include performing routine and preventive maintenance, diagnosing technical issues, and carrying out repairs or adjustments on equipment. The role involves providing on-site and remote technical support, training users on correct operation and basic upkeep, and maintaining accurate service reports and documentation. The Field Service Engineer will also collaborate with internal teams to escalate complex issues, support continuous improvement of products and services, and uphold high standards of customer service and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in field service activities, including on-site equipment installation and configuration.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Hands-on expertise in technical support and preventive maintenance for medical or similar electronic equipment.
  • Customer service skills to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and build positive relationships with healthcare clients.
  • Diploma or degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation.
  • Willingness to travel within Malaysia and work at healthcare facilities as required.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office) and familiarity with service reporting tools.
  • Prior experience with medical diagnostic devices or in the healthcare technology sector is an added advantage.
