Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Kuala Lumpur. The Interior Designer will translate wellness concepts and brand values into functional, aesthetic interior spaces for treatment rooms, lounges, reception areas, and other guest-facing environments. Responsibilities include developing design concepts, preparing mood boards, selecting finishes and materials, and coordinating FF&E in line with project budgets and timelines. The role involves producing detailed drawings and documentation for construction, collaborating with architects, contractors, and suppliers, and conducting site visits to monitor design implementation and quality. The Interior Designer will also support space planning for new and existing facilities, ensuring layouts enhance guest experience, operational efficiency, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Strong Interior Design skills with the ability to create cohesive, wellness-focused concepts and environments.
- Proficiency in Space Planning to optimize functionality, flow, and guest experience in hospitality or wellness settings.
- Experience collaborating with Architecture teams and understanding how interior concepts integrate with building design.
- Ability to produce accurate Construction Drawings and documentation suitable for contractors and regulatory reviews.
- Knowledge of FF&E selection, specification, and coordination, including sustainable and locally inspired materials.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar) and presentation tools.
- Strong visual, conceptual, and communication skills, with attention to detail and style consistency.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; experience in hospitality, spa, or wellness design is an advantage.
