We are hiring a Network Operation Engineer to be based in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as a 1st level one-stop-centre for all incoming customers’ complaint related to network
operations.
• To provide good customer relationship with excellent communication skills and pro-active
actions with customers via email and phone calls.
• Responsible for L1/L2/L3 network system support for SEAX Network Operations Centre.
• Perform 1st and 2nd level support with excellent diagnostic skill in within SLA.
• To operate, maintain and monitor primarily all SEAX network infrastructure system within
domain of NOC.
• To provide professional technical support, troubleshooting and maintenance of all remote sites.
• To provide comprehensive network performance report by weekly, monthly, and quarterly as
required.
• To provide 24/7 continuity of pending tasks to the next shift. Shall not leave the workplace
until a clear and concise understanding of handover has taken place.
• To ensure minimum downtime on all trouble tickets and to escalate the rectification process
to the field operation and related vendor.
• Lead fault escalation of field ops team, contractors, and vendors to deliver and/or attend to
network faults, passive fiber failures, fiber cuts etc and ensure the contractors/vendors meet
their SLA.
• Assist Planning and Project Team for new circuit/site requirement including site survey,
technical proposal, project commencement, circuit provisioning and network delivery to the
customer.
• Maintain accuracy of daily network record for circuit database, network diagram, circuit
configuration and equipment spare items.
• Responsible in managing internal and external stakeholders on daily network operations.
• Requires proactive communications, escalation of issues and management of stakeholders’
expectations.
• Technical resource pool to support project, migration, network improvements and other technical related requests within engineering team.
• Able to support Project & Operations team at site whenever required.
• Any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Supervisor/Management.
Job Requirements:
• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Telecommunication/Computer
Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Entry level with at least 1 year of experience in Network Operations Centre (NOC) or related
IT support experiences.
• Domain experiences desired: Linux, DWDM, CCNA, DNS, TCP/IP.
• Must be able to work in rotating shifts when required.
• Required language(s): English (speak, read and write).
