Job Description

Responsibilities

What The Role Is

You develop the data architecture and data strategies for the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), as well as conduct data maturity assessments.

What You Will Be Working On

  • Research data quality, data management policies and data technologies
  • Research advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) for the SAF in consultation with key MINDEF/Singapore Armed Forces stakeholders
  • Manage complex data issues
  • Collaborate with project management teams to handle digital projects
  • Examine opportunities to exploit data for full-spectrum operations

    Challenge(s)
  • Understanding operations and various staff functions in the SAF at strategic and tactical levels
  • Comprehending data science and understanding current MINDEF/SAF data landscape
  • Keeping abreast of emerging technologies

What We Are Looking For

  • Education in Engineering or Computer Science is preferred
  • At least 6 years of experience in database management systems, data analytics, data science, data policy and governance
  • Conversant
  • Strong interest in data science and digital technology
  • Good interpersonal communication skills to collaborate with MINDEF/SAF stakeholders and external professionals
  • Initiative and drive to manage complex data issues
  • Ability to collaborate with project management teams
