Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced API and Integration Lead to spearhead the design, development, and operational excellence of enterprise integration solutions. This role combines solution/platform architecture with hands-on development, ensuring both technical vision and execution are achieved. The incumbent will also provide leadership and guidance to a small team of developers, driving adoption of best practices in API-led connectivity and integration delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Leadership
- Lead the design and architecture of APIs and integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (or equivalent technologies).
- Define and enforce integration patterns, governance standards, and best practices across projects.
- Make cross-project design decisions to ensure an effective application network strategy.
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable integration solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to developers.
- Collaborate with enterprise and solution architects to align integration strategies with overall IT roadmap.
Development & Delivery
- Build, test, and deploy APIs and integrations using Anypoint Platform and related frameworks.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following defined design specifications.
- Participate in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimization of integration services.
- Ensure deployments follow CI/CD pipelines and operational best practices.
- Support operationalization of APIs, including monitoring, capacity planning, and incident resolution.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in integration architecture and delivery, including hands-on coding.
- Minimum 1–2 years of MuleSoft Anypoint Platform experience (or similar API/integration technologies such as TIBCO, Dell Boomi, Apigee, Oracle Fusion, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of integration design patterns, API management, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, SOAP web services, XML/JSON, JMS/AMQP messaging, and database integrations (SQL/NoSQL).
- Experience with SDLC pipelines, CI/CD, cloud platforms, and containerized environments.
- Strong communication skills with ability to engage stakeholders and lead technical workshops.
- Experience in leading small technical teams and mentoring junior developers.
- MuleSoft certifications (e.g., MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect, Platform Architect, or Developer) or equivalent credentials preferred.
- Exposure to large-scale integration or cloud transformation projects serving high transaction volumes.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, ERP, CRM, or e-Commerce integration scenarios is an advantage.
