APPLICATION ENGINEER

Location: Malaysia (Petaling Jaya)

Your areas of responsibility:

• Work together with the sales team on existing global / local projects and penetrate new markets with the key objective to grow sales.
• Provide technical support to sales team and customers, including product recommendation and technical advice.
• Conduct technical trainings for internal staff and distributors on request.
• Develop proposals for new products and applications based on customer and market requirements.
• Lead customer field trials. Coordinate sales team’s activities, coach if necessary and analyze the success of the trials.
• Work together with laboratory for providing oil analysis program for customers (including interpretation).
• Handle customer complaints, investigate and troubleshoot defects.
• Be involved in customer projects such as cost saving programs.
• Work together with Product Manager (regional / local) for activities related to product introduction and training.

Qualifications we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree in in Engineering (Mechanical / Chemical/ Electrical is preferred).
• 2 & above years of experience preferably in lubricants related (metalworking fluids, automotive, rotary motion, specialty), machine tools or manufacturing
• Exposure to application sales and experience in conducting field trial of lubricants would be of advantage.
• Proficient in spoken and written English and the local language.
• Strong analytical ability with keen sense of interpreting laboratory tests related to industry lubricants.
• Self – driven and motivated, results – oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profit.
• Ability to travel extensively within assigned regions.
