Responsibilities
Par Fund Management, AM/M
our client is a leading life insurer seeking a technically grounded actuary to join their Valuation, Par Fund Management team at Assistant Manager / Manager level. In this role, you’ll oversee key par fund activities and help ensure recommendations and frameworks are executed effectively—making your work critical to how bonus outcomes and asset share analysis are delivered.
Role Overview:
You will be responsible for driving par fund management initiatives within the wider valuation and par fund team, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure successful execution of annual investigations, bonus implementation, and framework reviews.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Life valuation experience
- Minimum 6 years of life actuarial experience
- Exposure to valuation / RBC2 / par fund management
- Strong progression with actuarial exams (IFoA, SOA, or other recognised actuarial bodies)
- Familiarity with Prophet software
- Confidence presenting findings and recommendations to senior management and regulators
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee annual bonus investigation and provide recommendations
- Conduct asset share analysis
- Support bonus implementation
- Review and contribute to par fund framework review
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (including other departments, regional office, and MAS) on par fund-related initiatives
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years of life actuarial experience
- Exposure to valuation / RBC2 / par fund management
- Strong progression with actuarial exams (IFoA, SOA, or other recognised actuarial bodies)
- Familiarity with Prophet software
- Experience presenting findings and recommendations to senior management and regulators
