Job Responsibility
New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Review customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
- Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and manufacturing feasibility assessments.
- Develop process flow, routing, operation sequences, and manufacturing plans for new products.
- Coordinate prototype builds, first article inspections (FAI), and production trials.
- Support production transfer from prototype to mass production.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal departments throughout the NPI process.
Process Engineering
- Develop machining processes for CNC milling, turning, grinding, and secondary operations.
- Determine machining sequences, cutting tools, machining parameters, and work holding methods.
- Prepare setup sheets, process instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and manufacturing documentation.
- Conduct process validation, capability studies, and continuous process improvements.
- Support production troubleshooting and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Fixture & Tooling Development
- Design and develop jigs, fixtures, gauges, and work holding solutions.
- Support the implementation of zero-point clamping systems and productivity improvement projects.
- Work closely with CNC programmers and production teams to optimize machine setups, cycle times, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Generate and modify fixture and tooling designs using SolidWorks.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and other problem-solving methodologies.
- Support FAI, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and customer qualification requirements.
- Implement process improvements to reduce cycle time, scrap, rework, and machine downtime.
- Monitor process capability (Cp/Cpk) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Project Management
- Coordinate activities among Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Customers.
- Track project milestones and ensure timely completion of NPI activities.
- Provide technical support during customer audits, project reviews, and qualification activities.
Job Requirement
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Precision Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in CNC machining, process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or NPI engineering.
- Strong knowledge of CNC Milling, CNC Turning, cutting tools, work holding methods, and fixture design.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.
- Proficiency in Mastercam and SolidWorks is required.
- Experience in machining process development, tooling selection, and production troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
- Experience in precision engineering, semiconductor equipment, medical manufacturing industries will be an added advantage.
Pay: $3,800.00 - $4,500.00 per month
Work Location: In person
