Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Industrial Relations / Employee Relations (IR/ER) Executive to manage employee relations matters, disciplinary cases, workplace investigations, and ensure compliance with Malaysian labour laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle employee relations and industrial relations matters in compliance with company policy and labour laws
- Conduct investigations on misconduct, grievances, absenteeism, and disciplinary issues
- Prepare disciplinary documents (show cause letter, warning letter, suspension letter, etc.)
- Conduct domestic inquiry and support disciplinary proceedings
- Provide advice to management on IR/ER matters and labour law compliance
- Manage employee grievances and conflict resolution
- Liaise with relevant authorities (Labour Office, Industrial Relations Department) when required
- Maintain proper documentation for all IR/ER cases
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Industrial Relations, Law or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years experience in IR/ER role
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Employment Act 1955 & Industrial Relations Act 1967
- Experience handling domestic inquiry and disciplinary cases
- Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Able to handle sensitive matters professionally and confidentially
