Industrial Relations / Employee Relations (IR/ER) Executive

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Relations / Employee Relations (IR/ER) Executive to manage employee relations matters, disciplinary cases, workplace investigations, and ensure compliance with Malaysian labour laws.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle employee relations and industrial relations matters in compliance with company policy and labour laws
• Conduct investigations on misconduct, grievances, absenteeism, and disciplinary issues
• Prepare disciplinary documents (show cause letter, warning letter, suspension letter, etc.)
• Conduct domestic inquiry and support disciplinary proceedings
• Provide advice to management on IR/ER matters and labour law compliance
• Manage employee grievances and conflict resolution
• Liaise with relevant authorities (Labour Office, Industrial Relations Department) when required
• Maintain proper documentation for all IR/ER cases

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Industrial Relations, Law or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years experience in IR/ER role
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of Employment Act 1955 & Industrial Relations Act 1967
• Experience handling domestic inquiry and disciplinary cases
• Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Able to handle sensitive matters professionally and confidentially
