About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Computer Science, IT, or Software Engineering graduate to manage the backend integrity of our engineering systems. This is a specialized System Administration and Data Governance role.

IMPORTANT NOTE (Explicit Role Boundaries): This role focuses strictly on the system’s backend, database health, and logic configuration. It is NOT a 3D modeling or production design role. Your interaction with the 3D environment is limited to inspection, verification, and troubleshooting system behavior.

Core Responsibilities

System & Database Governance

• Support E3D project database administration (structure, access control, data integrity).
• Maintain and audit object attributes, metadata, and logic.
• Monitor database health, consistency, and versions.
• Assist in backup, restore, and environment management.

Rule Logic & Configuration Control

• Configure modelling rules, validation logic, and constraints.
• Analyze system behavior after rule changes.
• Support controlled change processes for specifications and system logic.
• Identify and escalate risks from inconsistent configurations.

Data Integration & Reporting

• Support data exchange between E3D and AVEVA Engineering.
• Validate reports, MTOs, and data exports.
• Diagnose discrepancies between upstream data and 3D outputs.

User Access & Process Support

• Manage user roles, permissions, and access rights.
• Support designers by explaining system behavior (not modelling).
• Develop and maintain system documentation and usage guidelines.
• Assist onboarding of new users.

Quality Assurance & Risk Control

• Participate in data audits and system integrity checks.
• Identify systemic risks and escalate issues affecting reporting or lifecycle data.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related technical disciplines.
• Experience: Open to Fresh Graduates.
• Technical Mindset: A solid understanding of:
• Database Concepts (Relational models, schemas, constraints).
• Data Integrity & validation protocols.
• Access Control & permissions management.

Competencies:

• Ability to reason about complex systems and rule-based logic.
• Strong attention to structure and consistency.
• Comfortable working with abstract systems and technical constraints.
• High resistance to “quick-fix” temptations; prioritizing long-term system health.
