Company Description
Jabez Innovation Limited conducts advanced R&D to accelerate the application of combined technologies in noise and vibration control. We focus particularly on railway vibration and high-frequency floor vibration (25 Hz and above), where we are at the forefront globally. We regularly file patents under the company’s name, with our researchers listed as inventors, for new methods and products in noise and vibration control.
At present, we are leading the world in solving curve track corrugation problems with our Rigid Contact Tuned Mass Damper (RCTMD), achieving 70 to 90% reduction in corrugation growth rate, while competitors typically achieving only about 30 to 50%.
Role Description
We are looking for 1–2 scientists/engineers with strong curiosity about dynamic mechanical phenomena, especially those involving vibration and wave mechanics. You will design and conduct experiments, eliminate modelling errors, and help develop high-fidelity Finite Element models (FEM).
Essential Qualifications & Qualities
- M.Sc / M.Eng / M.Phil / PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline
- Fresh graduates are welcome – curiosity is the most important quality for R&D
- Strong communication skills (written and spoken)
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of multibody dynamics (training can be provided)
- Understanding of tuned mass damper mechanisms
- Experience in signal processing (FFT, windowing, filters, etc.)
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (e.g. SOLIDWORKS)
- Experience using AI tools to help solve mechanical problems, and to create video animation
Key Responsibilities:
- Build Finite Element models of the rail system using FEA software
- Design, run, and analyse simulations on the developed FEM
- Prepare and publish technical reports and journal papers
- Present findings to local and international railway operators and manufacturers
- Use the latest AI tools to produce technical and promotional videos
