Planning Manager

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute production plans that align with customer demand, operational capacity, and business priorities.
  • Lead and manage a team of planners to review demand forecasts, backlog, and production requirements to optimize production output and meet customer delivery schedules.
  • Collaborate closely with Procurement, Suppliers, and Warehouse teams to manage lead times, material shortages, and delivery risks.
  • Ensure timely material availability to support production schedules and fulfil customer requirements.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Procurement, and Customer Operations teams to ensure planning alignment and execution readiness.
  • Ensure production plans are realistic, achievable, and aligned with shop floor capacity and operational constraints.
  • Monitor order execution and delivery performance, ensuring accurate planning and customer commitment dates.
  • Act as the key point of contact for planning-related issues, change management, and cross-functional decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning processes, data accuracy, and system utilization to enhance forecast accuracy, schedule stability, and supply reliability.
  • Build and develop a high-performing planning team through coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the planning function.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including capacity constraints, material shortages, and delivery delays.

Requirements

  • Min Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Min 4 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Production Planning, or Materials Planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of VBA and Power BI is an added advantage.
