Job Description

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and review structural design drawings, fabrication drawings, and engineering deliverables.
  • Develop structural calculations, material take-offs, and design documentation.
  • Produce and modify detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Coordinate structural interfaces with architectural, HVAC, electrical, telecom, and safety disciplines.
  • Review vendor drawings and technical submissions for compliance with project requirements.
  • Technical Evaluation & Proposal Support
  • Participate in technical evaluations of project enquiries and tender documents.
  • Support bid and proposal preparation, including engineering scope definition and cost estimation.
  • Review client specifications, technical requirements, and project standards.
  • Assist in identifying technical risks and proposing practical engineering solutions during tender and execution phases.
  • Provide engineering support throughout project execution, fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.
  • Liaise with clients, shipyards, EPC contractors, and subcontractors on technical matters.
  • Support engineering change management and resolution of site-related technical issues.
  • Travel to China (fabrication/engineering coordination) is required as part of this role.
  • Occasional yard and site visits within Singapore and the region may also be required depending on
  • project demands.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related
  • discipline.
  • 5–7 years of structural engineering experience.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
  • Experience in offshore living quarters, accommodation modules, marine structures, FPSOs, offshore
  • platforms, or shipbuilding projects is preferred.
  • Experience supporting tendering, bid proposals, and technical evaluations is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of structural steel design and fabrication practices.
  • Familiarity with offshore and marine engineering standards.
  • Knowledge of offshore accommodation and living quarters requirements will be an advantage.
  • Exposure to client specifications and standards such as Shell DEP, ADNOC standards, Saudi Aramco
  • Engineering Standards (SAES), NORSOK, DNV, ABS, or equivalent is highly preferred.
