Hiring: Network Engineer (Asia Network Operations)

Location- Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur)

We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our Network Operations team in Asia. This role focuses on supporting enterprise network and security operations across a complex, multi-tenant infrastructure environment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on network support experience in a sizable organization
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• CCNA / CCNP (or equivalent knowledge)
• Certifications from vendors such as Palo Alto, F5, or Check Point are a plus
• Comfortable working in an English-speaking environment

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support network & security operations across firewalls, VPN, LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi environments
• Perform security baselining, network segmentation, and firewall rule management
• Collaborate with global network teams to ensure seamless operations and issue resolution
• Troubleshoot complex network issues across data centers, campus networks, and cloud environments
• Handle hardware refresh, OS upgrades, and patching activities
• Monitor network performance using SNMP and API-based tools
• Support incident, change, problem, and service request processes (ITIL aligned)
• Maintain accurate documentation including network diagrams and operational procedures

️ Technical Requirements

• Strong fundamentals in TCP/IP and networking protocols
• Hands-on experience with network firewalls (Palo Alto preferred)
• Solid expertise in routing & switching configuration and troubleshooting
• Experience with security tools such as AlgoSec Firewall Analyzer and FireFlow
• Strong knowledge of Campus LAN & Wireless networks (Cisco or Aruba)
• Familiarity with DHCP, DNS, and IP address management
• Exposure to monitoring tools like LogicMonitor, SolarWinds, or NetScout
• Knowledge of network automation or scripting is a plus

Good to Have:

• Experience with Cisco Nexus, ACI, F5 LTM
• Exposure to Public/Private Cloud networking (AWS, Azure, VMware NSX-T, SDN)
