Role Description This is a full-time, remote Video Editor role responsible for transforming raw footage into compelling, polished video content. The Video Editor will collaborate with creative directors, producers, and designers to interpret briefs, refine storylines, and assemble sequences that align with project goals and brand guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include editing video for various platforms, organising and managing media assets, applying colour correction and colour grading, and incorporating graphics and motion elements where needed. The role also involves optimising videos for different formats and aspect ratios, maintaining consistent visual quality, and meeting project timelines. The successful candidate will proactively contribute creative ideas, support multiple projects simultaneously, and communicate clearly with distributed team members.


Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production, including assembling footage, audio syncing, and narrative pacing.
  • Proficiency in Video Colour Grading, with the ability to maintain visual consistency and enhance mood and style.
  • Experience with Motion Graphics and Graphics to incorporate titles, lower thirds, and simple animated elements.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve); familiarity with After Effects or similar tools is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of video formats, codecs, frame rates, and best practices for social, web, and broadcast delivery.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to handle multiple deadlines in a remote work environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to take feedback constructively and adjust edits accordingly.
  • Relevant experience in a creative agency, production studio, or similar environment; a portfolio or showreel demonstrating recent work is required.
