The Asst. Manager will support Controllership operations, process and systems to faculties and schools.
The role is responsible for ensuring effective financial governance and operational excellence by:
Ensuring timely and accurate transaction processing.
Provide day-to-day finance operational support to faculties and units, including WBS master data creation/maintenance and budget transfers.
Serve as a key point of contact to manage and resolve queries and operational issues in a timely manner.
Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) for finance operations and master data are consistently achieved.
Maintaining strong internal controls and compliance with finance policies.
Supporting accuracy, completeness and integrity of financial reporting.
Ensure integrity of financial records and reporting through periodic housekeeping activities (Review of dormant WBS & balance sheet reviews)
Review Risk Control Matrices (RCMs) prepared by units, assessing completeness and reasonableness, and recommend improvements.
Ensure compliance with finance policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements through operational audit.
Ensuring proper governance of financial master data.
Provide advisory support on finance policies, procedures, and transaction-related matters to ensure consistent application.
Compliance with regulatory, audit, and institutional requirements.
Identify recurring issues, control gaps, and process inefficiencies, and drive remediation actions.
Experience
At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in finance, audit or controllership functions.
Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, internal controls, and governance frameworks.
Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA Financial systems is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience in data analysis and reconciliation
