Job Description

Responsibilities

ALG is currently hiring a Manufacturing Supervisor for our MNC client with a facility in the East, Singapore. Our client is a global leader in designing, manufacturing, and servicing advanced systems and components for the high-technology and advanced manufacturing industries.

This is a permanent role offering strong career progression within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise production technicians to meet quality standards and customer delivery expectations
  • Manage the work cell's daily output targets, operational efficiency, and productivity
  • Determine current and overdue load positions; plan 3 to 6 months ahead to establish part scheduling and material release strategies
  • Ensure operator compliance with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) protocols to maintain optimum machine uptime
  • Plan, direct, and evaluate workflow within the assigned production area
  • Manage technicians' discipline, attendance, safety, and quality adherence
  • Lead and facilitate operational planning, implementation, and ongoing issue resolution within the team
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to increase operational efficiencies
  • Coach and develop technicians, set clear job expectations, and manage work performance
  • Provide operational analysis and presentations to leadership when required

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering discipline (required)
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role within a Precision Engineering setting
  • Ability to work bi-monthly rotating shifts (mandatory)
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing techniques and process controls
  • Strong problem-solving, coaching, and mentoring skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a "can-do" attitude
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, bi-monthly rotating shifts (Morning, Afternoon, Evening shifts)
