Job Summary

You will play a vital role in the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems for our construction projects, ensuring coordination, quality, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Review and coordinate structural, architectural, and M&E drawings to identify and resolve conflicts or discrepancies
  • Issue relevant structural and architectural drawings to M&E sub-contractors for preparation of shop drawings and provide timely amendments, sketches, or information as work progresses
  • Liaise proactively with M&E sub-contractors to address drawing discrepancies and communicate updates to consultants and Project Manager, following up until resolution
  • Monitor and control M&E sub-contractors’ progress to prevent delays to other trades and ensure smooth workflow integration
  • Collaborate with M&E sub-contractors to produce structural penetration drawings and cast-in items, and report provisions to the Project Engineer during technical meetings
  • Ensure availability of M&E shop drawings to the Architectural Coordinator and Project Engineer for site reference during construction
  • Assist Project Manager and M&E Manager in resolving conflicts among M&E sub-contractors to maintain project continuity
  • Manage maintenance of temporary site power, water supply, and sanitary facilities to support ongoing construction activities
  • Participate actively in consultant site meetings, technical meetings, and sub-contractor meetings to align project objectives and resolve issues

Required competencies and certifications

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the construction industry with exposure to M&E systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to support documentation and communication needs
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications to ensure accurate interpretation and application
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills to facilitate collaboration and project coordination
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy to maintain quality and compliance
