Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Title: Finance Accounts Assistant

Job Summary

The Finance Accounts Assistant supports the finance department by performing daily accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with financial reporting. The role ensures timely processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations while supporting overall financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

  • Prepare and record invoices, payments, and expense reports.

  • Assist with bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.

  • Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports.

  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Verify financial data and correct discrepancies.

  • Assist with budget tracking and financial analysis when required.

  • Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors regarding financial matters.

  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and accounting standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Quickbook).

  • Prior experience in accounts payable or receivable roles.

  • Basic understanding of financial reporting and reconciliation processes.
