Job Description

Responsibilities

What The Role Is

We are looking for a driven and forward-thinking team player who thrives on making a tangible impact. You will be part of the HR Talent, Learning and Development team, playing a pivotal role in shaping URA's talent pipeline by reimagining how we attract, select and retain young talents, building a strong talent pipeline for URA.

This is a 1-year contract position.

What You Will Be Working On

Scholarship Programme Management

  • You will own and drive the full scholarship selection cycle end-to-end, from early outreach and shortlisting through to award and ongoing scholar management.
  • This includes serving as the primary liaison to coordinate selection panels, align on assessment criteria, and ensure a seamless candidate experience throughout.
  • You will also manage scholarship administrative matters such as processing of allowances, claims, and flight arrangements for scholars on overseas studies.

    Internship Programme Management
  • You will manage URA's internship programme across the full cycle, from partnering institutions and schools to source candidates, to overseeing shortlisting, interview coordination, onboarding, and offboarding.

    Scholars and Interns Liaison

  • You will serve as a trusted point of contact for scholars and interns throughout their journey with URA, building genuine individual relationships to ensure each person feels seen, supported, and cared for.
  • This goes beyond programme administration. It is about being present and attentive to their needs, checking in meaningfully, and creating a sense of belonging that reflects URA's commitment to its people from day one.

    Process Transformation & Innovation
  • A key focus of this role is to critically review and redesign the scholarship shortlisting process to make it more efficient, rigorous, and scalable.
  • You will proactively identify opportunities to leverage AI-assisted tools and advanced Excel capabilities such as automated scoring frameworks, data dashboards, and workflow automation to reduce manual effort and surface sharper insights for decision-making.
  • You will also lead a structured review of URA's Scholarship Guidelines to ensure they remain relevant, competitive, and aligned with evolving organisational needs and public sector best practices.

What We Are Looking For

  • A degree in a relevant discipline with experience in HR, talent acquisition, or a related field.
  • Beyond the fundamentals, we are looking for someone who brings a genuine curiosity for process improvement and is comfortable working with data and digital tools.
  • You should be a confident communicator and skilled relationship manager, able to engage stakeholders at all levels with clarity and credibility.
  • A warm, people-centred approach is equally important, as building trust with individual scholars and interns is a meaningful part of this role.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines, while maintaining attention to detail, is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint is required.
  • Familiarity with AI productivity tools and prior experience with Workday would be advantageous.
