About the Role

As a CBM Specialist you will carry out non-contact inspections for electrical, mechanical, gas leak detection, and other industrial applications to identify potential issues before they lead to equipment failure or downtime. You will also prepare reports with findings, analysis, and maintenance recommendations for clients.

This role involves conducting thermographic surveys, analyzing data using specialized software, and providing detailed reports to clients across industries such as manufacturing, energy, oil & gas, and building management.

You may also be required to provide product training, technical support, and troubleshooting services to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site thermographic surveys of electrical, mechanical, gas leak detection, and building systems using infrared cameras.
  • Capture and analyze thermal images to identify abnormal patterns such as electrical hotspots, overheating motors, gas leaks, and other potential faults.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports with colour photos, infrared images, analysis, and recommendations for corrective action.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and care for thermographic equipment in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assist in improving and updating equipment calibration and inspection procedures.
  • Support clients in implementing predictive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failure and downtime.
  • Test and troubleshoot energized systems, circuits, relays, and related components.
  • Handle technical inquiries from clients and provide clear, timely, and professional support.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.
  • STPM, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Basic technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to communicate verbally and in writing in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willing to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and processes.
  • Possess own car with valid driving license and be willing to travel to client sites when required.
