Job Description: Lifting Supervisor (Data Center Construction)Job Summary
- Overhauls, plans, and directly supervises all hoisting and heavy lifting operations on-site.
- Responsible for ensuring zero-incident operations during the movement of heavy critical infrastructure (e.g., generators, chillers, server racks, and structural pre-cast panels).
Core Responsibilities
- Lifting Plans: Develop, review, and execute comprehensive Rigging and Lifting Plans, ensuring exact load calculations, center of gravity checks, and crane positioning.
- On-Site Supervision: Direct all lifting activities, ensuring clear communication between Crane Operators, Signalmen, and Riggers.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to DOSH (JKKP) Special Orders regarding Tower and Mobile Cranes, as well as CIDB safety regulations.
- Equipment Inspection: Inspect all cranes, hoisting machinery, wire ropes, shackles, and rigging gear before any lifting operation begins.
- Risk Management: Conduct pre-lift briefings (Toolbox Talks) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to identify hazards like wind speeds, ground stability, and overhead power lines.
- Site Coordination: Coordinate lifting schedules to avoid interference with ongoing MEP installation and structural work.
Education, Certifications & Experience
- Education: Minimum SPM / O-Levels, though a Technical Certificate or Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of direct experience as a Lifting Supervisor on high-density construction sites. Prior experience in infrastructure, heavy industrial plants, or data centers is a massive advantage.
- Mandatory Qualifications & Certifications (Malaysia Regulatory):
- Valid CIDB Green Card.
- Certified Lifting Supervisor Competency Certificate (from a DOSH/JKKP recognized training provider like MBAM, NIOSH, or equivalent).
- Basic or advanced certification in Slinging and Rigging.
- Bonus: Holding a Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) "Yellow Book" is highly valued.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Deep technical understanding of Load Charts, crane capacities, and rigging configurations.
- Absolute authority to issue a "Stop Work Order" if lifting conditions become unsafe (e.g., high wind speeds, unstable soil).
- High alertness, clear verbal communication via hand signals and radio, and the ability to work under tight fast-track schedules.
Pay: From RM5,500.00 per month
