Role Description As a Finance Intern at Hotel Indigo Kuala Lumpur On The Park, you will support the Finance team with daily accounting and financial administration tasks. This internship role is on-site and based in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Responsibilities include assisting with data entry, invoice processing, and documentation of financial transactions, as well as helping to reconcile accounts and prepare basic financial reports. You will support month-end closing activities, maintain accurate records in line with internal policies, and assist with filing, organizing financial documents, and responding to internal finance-related inquiries. The role also involves collaborating with other departments, learning hotel finance systems, and supporting ad hoc projects as assigned by the Finance leadership.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial documentation processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications; familiarity with accounting or ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Ability to work on-site, collaborate with a diverse team, and manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Previous internship or part-time experience in a finance or hospitality role is beneficial but not required.
