International Construction Project Manager
Part-Time / Project-Based (Malaysia Based)
About Us
Join a fast-growing global tea beverage brand expanding across Southeast Asia and beyond. We are seeking an experienced and proactive construction project professional to support our overseas store expansion projects on a part-time / project-based basis, primarily based in Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end construction and fit-out process for retail store projects within the assigned overseas region (primarily Malaysia).
- Coordinate closely with HQ teams including Design, Operations, Development, Procurement, and Brand to ensure smooth project execution and alignment with brand standards.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, quality control, and site safety across all construction stages.
- Conduct site surveys, review construction drawings, evaluate technical feasibility, and support cost estimation and budget control.
- Monitor project progress to ensure timely store delivery, including mall rent-free fitting-out periods.
- Manage and coordinate contractors, suppliers, consultants, and external vendors to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Liaise with landlords, mall management, and local authorities to support approvals and project execution.
- Ensure compliance with local building regulations, fire safety standards, and relevant construction requirements.
- Support maintenance, renovation, and after-sales repair works for existing stores in the region.
- Monitor supplier performance, service quality, and project-related costs to improve operational efficiency.
- Handle additional regional project tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Interior Fit-out, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction project management, preferably in tea beverage / F&B chain / restaurant / retail store fit-out projects.
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in franchise or multi-store rollout environments.
- Familiar with local construction regulations, mall fit-out procedures, material specifications, and project execution standards.
- Strong knowledge of site coordination, schedule control, cost management, and quality assurance.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and attention to detail.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and willing to travel within the region when required.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin (required, due to coordination with HQ and regional teams).
