Responsibilities

About the Company

Adecco is partnering with a leading precision engineering organization to hire a General Manager – Manufacturing (Machining) to lead and manage multi-site manufacturing operations across Malaysia and Singapore. This role will be responsible for driving operational excellence, strategic growth, and overall business performance, with full accountability for P&L and end-to-end machining operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee end-to-end machining operations across multiple manufacturing plants in Malaysia and Singapore, ensuring alignment in operational standards and performance
  • Drive performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) by establishing clear targets, monitoring outcomes, and implementing corrective actions where required
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives to support business growth, improve operational scalability, and enhance overall competitiveness
  • Oversee CNC machining operations, including process engineering, technology deployment, capacity planning, and resource optimization to meet production demands
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement programs to enhance productivity, reduce cycle times, and optimize manufacturing costs
  • Ensure full compliance with customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards, while continuously strengthening quality management systems
  • Manage divisional P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure planning, with a strong focus on cost control and margin improvement
  • Monitor, analyze, and improve key performance indicators such as OEE, yield, productivity, cost per part, and on-time delivery to drive operational excellence
  • Collaborate closely with customers, commercial teams, and internal stakeholders on technical discussions, business development, costing strategies, and capacity planning
  • Build, lead, and develop high-performing leadership and operational teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement across all sites


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field)
  • MBA or postgraduate qualification is an added advantage
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in manufacturing or precision engineering
  • At least 10 years in senior leadership roles managing machining operations
  • Proven experience managing multi-site or regional manufacturing operations
  • Strong expertise in CNC machining, semiconductor, or high-precision industries
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills
