Senior Executive - Customer Project Manager

Location: Shah Alam

Work Type: Full-time

Salary: RM4,500 - RM5,500 (depending on experience)

Exolab is a perfumery development and manufacturing company that works with brands to create scented products from concept through production. We work closely with our partners and network of suppliers to bring new fragrance products into the market. 

We are expanding our team and hiring Customer Project Managers (CPM) to manage customer projects across the full development process. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing moving parts, coordinating stakeholders, and turning ideas into structured execution plans. You will play a key role in ensuring customer projects move smoothly across development, sourcing, production, and delivery stages.

As the team grows, this role also offers potential progression into managerial and future team leadership opportunities. 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer projects from development through production and delivery, ensuring timelines, materials, and milestones are well coordinated

• Serve as the primary contact for assigned customers throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining clear communication and alignment on project progress

• Coordinate cross-functional execution with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure project requirements are delivered smoothly

• Monitor project timelines, material readiness, and supplier progress, identifying potential risks early and working with teams to resolve them

• Understand customer needs, brand positioning and business objectives in order to recommend suitable solutions

• Conduct market observations and basic trend research, and present relevant product ideas and development directions during project discussions and new product planning

Your role is to ensure projects move forward clearly and smoothly while maintaining strong coordination between customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

What We’re Looking For

• 2-5 years of experience in project management or product development roles (any relevant industry is welcome; experience in beauty or manufacturing industries is a plus)

• Strong communication skills, as you will be the primary contact for assigned customer projects

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail

• Comfortable managing multiple timelines and stakeholders simultaneously

• Proactive mindset with strong follow-up discipline

• Strong spoken and written English and Mandarin are preferred due to frequent coordination with Mandarin-speaking overseas suppliers and partners

• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and project tracking tools
