2. Your Role in VT Markets
As Content Writer at VT Markets, you will be based in Malaysia and report directly to the Senior Content Manager. Sitting within the global Marketing function, you will play a critical role in keeping VT Markets' voice sharp, consistent, and credible across all content touchpoints. You will collaborate closely with the Global Marketing COE to produce high-quality market analysis articles and opinion pieces that inform, engage, and convert our global audience of traders. Your output will directly support the brand's authority in the financial services space - covering daily market analysis, weekly and monthly outlooks, opinion editorial content, evergreen articles, and campaign copies.
3. Your Responsibilities
Regular Market Analysis Content (BAU)
- Produce 2 Daily Market Analysis articles every business day, covering key asset classes, market movements, and trading insights relevant to a global retail trading audience.
- Write 1 Weekly Market Outlook article summarising macro trends, upcoming economic events, and market sentiment for the week ahead.
- Produce 1 Monthly Market Insights article offering a deeper, data-informed review of market performance and forward-looking analysis.
- Write 1–2 Opinion articles per week, offering informed perspectives on financial markets, economic developments, or trading strategies.
Ad-hoc & Campaign Support
- Develop evergreen content including educational guides, explainers, glossaries, and trading tutorials that serve both new and experienced traders.
- Review and provide feedback on articles and content produced by other team members to uphold editorial standards and brand voice.
- Assist the Marketing team in crafting copy for campaigns — including email, landing pages, social media, and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with the Global Marketing COE in Singapore to ensure all content aligns with global brand guidelines, campaign objectives, and regulatory requirements.

- Content published consistently meets editorial deadlines and maintains high standards of accuracy, clarity, and engagement - strengthening VT Markets' position as a trusted voice in global financial markets.
- Market analysis articles and opinion pieces demonstrate clear understanding of the target trader audience, resulting in content that meaningfully supports audience retention and conversion goals.
- Evergreen and campaign content is well-researched, on-brand, and directly contributes to the effectiveness of marketing initiatives as measured by stakeholder feedback and campaign performance reviews.
5. What Makes You a Great Fit
Job Experience & Education
- At least 2 years of experience in content writing, financial journalism, or editorial roles, preferably within fintech, brokerage, or financial services.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated portfolio of financial or market-related content, including analysis pieces or opinion articles.
Technical & Functional Skills
- Strong understanding of financial markets, trading instruments (forex, indices, commodities, equities), and macroeconomic concepts.
- Proficiency in writing for digital platforms, with knowledge of SEO best practices and content optimisation for online audiences.
- Ability to translate complex financial data and market movements into clear, accessible, and engaging narratives for retail traders.
Soft Skills
- Highly disciplined with time management and the ability to consistently meet tight daily and weekly publishing deadlines without compromising quality.
- Strong editorial judgement and attention to detail, with the ability to self-edit and peer-review content effectively.
- Collaborative team player who can work cross-functionally with marketing, design, and compliance stakeholders across different time zones.
