Job purpose:

To assist in maintaining the lab and conduct routine experimental work.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Certificate/ Diploma in Science (especially Biology)
• Experience in working in a lab setting

Responsibilities:

1. General upkeep of lab tidiness and cleanliness

• Cleaning of used apparatus such as Schott bottles, beakers and etc.
• Scheduled cleaning of equipment in the lab such as autoclave, air filter for freezer and etc.
• Scheduled cleaning of lab benches
• Packing of consumable wastes such as gloves, tips and etc. for Kualiti Alam disposal

2. Preparation of consumables for lab users (sterilizing consumables)

3. Preparation of general chemicals for lab users

4. Assist in sample preparation or processing

• Routine sample banking of fungal culture
• Maintenance of culture bank
• Routine sample culturing for experimental purposes
• Routine maintenance of in vitro plantlets
• Assist in planting and caring of plant materials in controlled environment chambers
• Sorting and recording of leaf and fungal samples

• Accuracy in sample checking and recording

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,900.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
