Role Summary
The Account Manager is responsible for overseeing full-set accounting functions, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and leading a team of 5–6 accounting personnel. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards, strengthens internal controls, and enhances the efficiency of the finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, supervise, and develop a team.
- Provide coaching, performance reviews, and training to enhance team capabilities.
- Allocate tasks, monitor workload, and ensure team members meet reporting deadlines and quality standards.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Full-Set Accounting & Reporting
- Manage and review end-to-end full-set accounts, including AP, AR, GL, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
- Handle tax computations, submissions, and liaison with tax agents and auditors.
- Maintain proper documentation, internal controls, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the key point of contact for internal stakeholders, auditors, tax agents, and external partners.
- Support management with financial insights for decision-making.
- Address accounting issues and provide solutions to improve processes and reporting accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MIA) is an added advantage.
- Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, including full-set accounts handling.
- At least 2 years of experience in leading or supervising a team.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
