Job Description

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Finacle System Engineer with strong expertise in Finacle 10.x/11.x environments, production support, infrastructure management, and application administration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing Finacle environments while ensuring high availability, system stability, and adherence to change management processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage installation, configuration, administration, and support of Finacle 10.x/11.x environments.
  • Provide production support, incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for Finacle-related issues.
  • Take ownership of deliverables and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Support Finacle N-tier architecture and high-availability configurations.
  • Perform issue analysis using Oracle/PostgreSQL databases and develop SQL queries for troubleshooting, reporting, and data validation.
  • Administer and maintain Unix/Linux environments supporting Finacle applications.
  • Support and manage middleware technologies such as WebSphere Application Server and JBoss.
  • Automate routine operational and environment management tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Plan and execute patching activities for Finacle, Operating Systems, Middleware, and Database components.
  • Conduct impact assessments and coordinate implementation activities with infrastructure, database, middleware, and application support teams.
  • Perform environment maintenance activities including source refreshes, data refreshes, and environment synchronization.
  • Support CI/CD initiatives and deployment automation processes.
  • Ensure compliance with change management, release management, and operational governance processes.
  • Participate in production releases, system upgrades, performance tuning, and disaster recovery activities.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience supporting Finacle 10.x or Finacle 11.x environments.
  • Strong experience in Finacle installation, configuration, and end-to-end environment setup.
  • Proven experience supporting production banking environments and critical applications.
  • Experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, including SQL query development and troubleshooting.
  • Strong working knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and shell commands.
  • Experience with middleware technologies such as WebSphere Application Server and JBoss.
  • Knowledge of Kafka, Redis, and PostgreSQL administration/support.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts, deployment automation, and environment management practices.
  • Experience in patch management, system upgrades, and release coordination.


Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Core Banking systems and banking operations.
  • Experience in high-availability and disaster recovery environments.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes, incident management, and change management frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
