Job Description

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Research, design and develop lighting systems and modules for customised products or new products.
  • Evaluate and develop design improvement, technical solution and cost reduction for existing products.
  • Analyse manufacturing problems and recommend solutions.
  • Perform and check engineering calculations and prototypes to verify product design and production methods.
  • Source for and evaluate suppliers, components and products.
  • Create, monitor and evaluate test programs to verify/validate product performance.
  • Prepare calculations, schedules, reports, drawings and other related documentations and analysis.
  • Create, check and maintain appropriate engineering documentations in support of a product design, in accordance with Company’s procedures.
  • Provide sales, production, operations and project teams with technical and design support onsite and offsite.
  • Track project status and coordinate for successful testing, commissioning and completion.
  • Maintain library of research data, detailed methods, evaluation of components, materials, products and production methods.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering (or similar based on experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
  • Portfolio of products designed and produced.
  • Examples of solutions engineered.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD 2D/3D and lighting calculation software.
  • Experience in 3D printing.
  • Experience in manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Advanced analytical, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Interest in research, dive deep on subjects and able to self-learn.
  • A keen eye for detail, organized, resourceful and independent.
  • Team player with excellent written, pictorial and verbal communication skills.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to make a difference.
