Role Description

Omni-Comm is seeking a motivated and technically competent Service Engineer to join our team in Singapore. This is a full-time, on-site position responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and support of telecommunications, networking, AC/DC power systems, UPS systems, battery energy storage solutions, and related infrastructure.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers, project teams, and vendors to ensure systems are delivered, maintained, and supported to the highest standards of quality, reliability, and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, test, and commission AC/DC power systems, UPS systems, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) at customer sites and company facilities.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and minimal downtime.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, network, power, and battery-related issues.
  • Carry out repair, replacement, and servicing of faulty equipment and components.
  • Perform battery testing, system health checks, and power system performance verification.
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.
  • Document service activities, maintenance records, and technical findings.
  • Prepare service reports and escalate complex technical issues when required.
  • Collaborate with sales, project, and technical teams to support project delivery and customer requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety regulations, and service quality standards.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Certification / Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to fault diagnosis.
  • Experience in field service, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of AC/DC power systems, UPS systems, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), or related electronic systems.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC power systems, UPS systems, battery technologies (VRLA and Lithium-ion), and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and power distribution systems.
  • Hands-on experience with maintenance and repair of technical equipment.
  • Familiarity with test and measurement equipment such as multimeters, power analyzers, battery testers, insulation testers, or network analyzers.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing project schedules.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and perform occasional after-hours or weekend support when required.
