Dispute Resolution Associate (2–6 PQE) – Singapore

We are working with a highly regarded specialist disputes firm as it continues to build out its Singapore offering. Operating as a lean, international disputes platform with a particular focus on arbitration and complex cross-border matters, the firm has positioned itself strategically within the Singapore market to handle sophisticated conflict work that larger full-service firms are often unable to take on.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially minded disputes lawyer to join a genuinely entrepreneurial practice at an exciting stage of growth. The role offers close collaboration with an experienced international team and the opportunity to play a meaningful role in the continued development of the Singapore office as a hub for high-value international disputes work.

The firm has developed an impressive reputation for acting on sophisticated, high-stakes matters for a global client base that includes HNW individuals, sovereign entities, family offices, funds, and multinational corporates. Its work is frequently international in nature and regularly involves:

• Complex commercial disputes;

• International arbitration and cross-border enforcement matters;

• Fraud, asset tracing, and recovery work;

• Shareholder, JV, and special situations disputes; and

• Breach of trust and fiduciary duty claims.

The practice is particularly well positioned to advise on disputes with an Asian nexus that intersect with English law, offshore structures, international arbitration, and multi-jurisdictional enforcement considerations. Working alongside — rather than competing directly against — larger international firms, the team is able to attract a steady flow of sophisticated referral work in areas where conflicts frequently arise.

The successful candidate is likely to:

• Be Singapore-qualified with approximately 2–6 years’ PQE in disputes work;

• Have trained and practised with a leading international or top-tier Singapore firm;

• Possess experience in international arbitration and/or complex cross-border disputes;

• Demonstrate strong technical ability alongside sound commercial judgement;

• Have an international outlook, with exposure to English-law governed matters viewed favourably; and

• Enjoy working in a lean, collaborative team with significant client exposure and early responsibility.
