BASSnet Hiring! Full Time Computer Science-Business Information Systems-Accounting Intern in Federal Territory - Ricebowl

We are seeking highly motivated and well-qualified candidates to join our internship program under the Research & Development, Service & Support Department. Be a part of the software development team in the maritime industry to experience a new adventure.

The Intern will be assigned to one of the teams below:

1)Technical Support Intern (Preferably August/September Intake)

• Conduct vessel kit testing.

• Conduct project macro testing and product fitness verification.

• Conduct database verification.

• Enhance current internal systems which are written in ASP, ************* & C#.

• Enhance current internal reports using Crystal Reports.

• Product testing and verification.

2)Software Engineer Intern (Preferably September Intake)

• Familiarity with .NET development, particularly ASP.NET.

• Basic understanding of data dictionaries and database documentation.

3)QA (Software Testing) Intern (Preferably August & September Intake)

• Conduct software testing (mostly smoke tests, UI tests and functionality tests) on assigned modules in the BASSnet suite.
• Document test cases as requested by the Supervisor.
• Databases used: MSSQL Server.

4)Information Security Intern (Preferably June, July & August Intake)

• Support gap analysis and risk assessment activities.
• Assist in implementing ISMS controls and security policies.
• Assist in documentation preparation for ISO 27001 compliance.
• Participate in internal/external audits and compliance checks.
• Work closely with various departments to gather necessary compliance data.
• Assist in preparing training materials and awareness sessions.

5)IT Support Intern (Preferably August Intake)

Hand on task as below.

• Diagnose and resolve IT-related components reported by internal users
• Specialists manage IT-related readiness for employee onboarding
• Provide remote assistance to internal users working from different locations.
• Specialists monitor BASSNet system performance, server logs, and alerts to proactively address potential issues.

6)Technical Documentation Intern (Preferably August/September Intake)

• Write technical documentation such as User Manuals, Training Materials, Release Notes, Product Sheets, FAQs and Lab Exercises.
• Develop content in alternative media forms such as Video Tutorials and interactive software simulations to complement existing documentation.
• Update existing documentation to support enhancements and bug fixes in new version updates.
• Create articles in the knowledge base to enhance product knowledge.
• Edit, review and proofread documentation before publication or insertion into the knowledge base.
• Assist in compiling and organising requirements and answers in Requests for Information (RFI).
• Organize content in a way that is optimized for search and easy to navigate.

7)Account Intern (Preferably August/September Intake)

• Review monthly journal vouchers entered into BASSnet Financial systems.
• Review of Bank transactions.
• Review of Petty cash transactions.
• Review of Inter-company transactions.
• Review of Account Payable (AP) transactions.
• Review of Expenses transactions.

Requirements/ expectations:

• Candidate must possess or currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Data Science/Cybersecurity/Accountancy/Finance/Banking, or equivalent.
• Prefers last semester candidates
• Duration of internship: 3-6 months
• Required language(s): English.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Jalan Ampang.
• Required skills for Technical Support, Development and QA

-Required skill(s): MS Excel, MSSQL Server

-Preferred skill(s): ASP.NET.

• Required skills for Software Application
• Excellent in Math, Finance, Calculation, Calculus
• Able to multi-tasks and prioritize duties.
